Treasure in the Discarded Refuse 7

Light from different angles of the hall illuminated the hall.

Towering ceilings adorned with intricate moldings stretched towards the heavens, while crystal chandeliers refracted shards of light across the polished marble floor.

Rows of crimson chairs were arranged in an orderly manner.

The stage commanded the room's attention  with its sleek and modern design. Behind the stage, was a massive screen which would be projected for the guests to have a perfect view of the intended program.

Guests from different parts of the country were seated in anticipation of the host of the program.

Eyes were glued to the stage as they expected "the woman who survived the devil's numerous blows." As that's what she was fondly referred to as.

The guests began to cheer and clap as the woman of the moment climbed up the stage.

"Greetings to you, ladies. It is such a delight to have you.

Words are exhaustible to describe how happy and honored I feel right now to see you all here. And I must say, you all look radiant and beautiful." She said, with the aid of a microphone.

The guests clapped.

"A day like this is a day I always look forward to. A day I get to stand up on this stage and show to the world what Jesus Christ has made out of me. Not to boast, but to inspire.

"A day to inspire as many ladies as possible and bring them into the consciousness of the love of Jesus Christ and His eternal purpose for them. I am indeed a living testimony."

"Majority of you know my story. I was about to take my own life when a stranger saved me from taking my own life. This stranger happens to be my spouse today."

The guests cheered and clapped in excitement in response to how amazed they were at who her spouse was.

"I was a victim of circumstance, and yes the devil had all perfectly planned out but Jesus came through for me. I was from a broken home. I was raped, and from that experience, I became a prostitute.

My life was so miserable and I had to keep fighting the darkness in my mind. I daily fought the condemnation I felt, trying to justify my actions and never feel condemned, but it wasn't possible. I called myself "discarded refuse" , I always felt filthy.

"It was as though life wasn't tough enough, I got pregnant and I was infected with STI. It was because of this two major events that triggered the thought of me committing suicide.

Thank God my spouse came my way that day. I daily thank God he stopped me from killing myself.

I can tell you for free today that I am totally healed of STI, and the pregnancy of that day is what birthed my lovely twins. Jesus did! Can someone celebrate Jesus in this hall today?" She asked rhetorically.

The guests cheered and clapped in excitement. They could not help but marvel at the testimony of the woman.

"God found treasure in a discarded refuse. He raised me to be a blessing to as many women out there who have a story similar to mine, more than mine or even less than mine.

Are you at the verge of giving up? Do you think there's nothing for you in this world? I went through that phase and I can boldly say to you that it's only the beginning of a new chapter for you.

If you would come to Jesus and give your life to Him. He is the rebuilder and the potter. He is always finding treasure in the discarded refuse."

"He formed you. He alone knows what He has written concerning you. He expects and awaits you to come home to Him.

There is more for you in Him. More than what you seek and desire, He has for you. The world only has temporal things to offer you."

Though the devil threw many blows at you, but God is saying to you today, "Come home to me, I want to restore your worth, I want to restore your crown, I want to restore your oil, I want to restore your sword of defense, I want to restore to you the royal robe the devil stole from you. Just come home."

"And I put it to you today that Jesus is the only way home. Accept Him into your life today.

For as many as possible who would like to go home to the Father and start a new chapter of their life as God originally scripted it, put your hand on your chest and confess this: "Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and make me your own. I forsake all of my evil ways and repent of them all. Please, give me a new heart and help me to journey with you. Amen."

"Thank you very much for listening. God bless you.

Never forget, God is always finding treasure in the discarded refuse. You are not too polluted or defiled to be made clean and pure by God, and used for His glory.

Let the program continue."  She ended her speech and majestically got down from the stage to her seat.

THE END.

Thank you reading through till the end. I hope this blessed you.
I would like to know what you think about the story and the characters. 😀
Do well to drop your comment.

Dear woman, your worth is far above rubies.
